Regarding the itinerary:
1) The drive from Shimla (2200 meters) to Kalpa (2960 meters) takes about 10 - 11 hours.
2) The drive from Kalpa to Kaza (3650 meters) takes about 10 - 12 hours.
3) Once in Spiti Valley, you will be staying in a homestay in Kaza and Chicham village that is heated by a fireplace to combat the cold.
4) From Day 3 - 6, you will be following the cue of the local guiding staff and walking to the best vantage points where the staff believes we would get the best sighting opportunities of the snow leopard. Walking would be about 6-7 hours in the day depending on the situation / weather.
5) As you can understand, operating in this region for past two decade, we will put all our experience together to bring together the best and most experienced staff to help you achieve your objective – See and photograph the majestic snow leopard - but it is our ethical responsibility to tell you that we cannot guarantee of a 100% sighting - but we assure you that we will try our level best to achieve the objective.
