Note: - Though we would try to find the best snow conditions but at times depending upon the forces of nature and situations beyond human control, one must be ready to accept whatever conditions are available.

Beas Valley is surrounded by the mighty Himalayan Ranges of Pir-Panjal and Dhauladhar. The vast terrain above the tree line from 2900 Mts. up to the 4500 Mts., constitutes of the widely extended alpine meadows with the high snow clad summits dominating the background. Situated in the Himalayan wilderness, these mountain meadows over the Beas Valley, provides an excellent opportunity for the touring skiers, snowboarders and racketing lovers around the world. Snow Shoeing provides superb view of the mountain ranges around Manali. Upper Solang Valley, Gulaba meadow, Hampta valley are a few famous names for snow activities.

DAY - 01: Arrival in Manali
Arrival at Manali and transfer to the Guest House. Introduction of the area and check the equipment and a short walk into the forest of pine. Overnight at the Guest House.

DAY - 02: Manali - Lamadugh and Back
After breakfast start snow shoeing towards the famous Lamadugh heights with packed lunches. Climb through the mighty deodars and on a challenging slope. Reach the maximum possible height and then return back to Guest House, Dinner is served around 8 O'clock.

DAY - 03: Manali to Sethan
After breakfast drive/trek to Sethan Village
(2800 Mts.) (Accessibility to the vehicles would depend on the snow condition on the way, takes around 1.5 Hrs. way. Reach the local Mountain House (we will have our own customized kitchen and accommodation logistics using a room or two in the local wooden made house with sleeping bags, liners and mattresses). After lunch Snow shoeing at the surroundings of Sethan (3000 Mts.) (3 Hrs.). Overnight at the mountain house/ camp.

DAY - 04: Sethan to Sethan Dome and back
Climb over the tree lines, Snow shoe walking in the wonderful alpine meadows with superb surroundings of snow clad mountains all round. This is a longer day (7-8 Hrs.). Return back to Sethan Mountain house/ camp.

DAY - 05: Sethan to Raudikhodi and back
Climb over the tree lines, Snow shoe walking in the wonderful alpine meadows with superb surroundings of snow clad mountains all round. Today the walk is on different direction though, yet the surroundings are equally mesmerizing. Again a long day on snow (7-8 Hrs.). Return back to Sethan Mountain house/ camp.

DAY - 06: Sethan to Manali
After breakfast trek back to Manali via the same route taken to reach Sethan. Check into Guest House. Overnight in Guest House.

DAY - 07: Manali Relax Day
Free day for Relaxing. Own arrangements

DAY - 08: Manali to Chandigarh
Early morning leave for Chandigarh to catch the flight to Mumbai. End of tour.

Note: It is also possible that a route change may become necessary following the conditions, subjected to Weather, availability of snow, condition of the slopes and physical fitness of the clients.
Cost is Ex. Manali and specifically from HRTC bus stand.

SPECIAL NOTE: Please note that this is an outdoor and adventure trip and to enjoy such trips, one requires being reasonably fit both physically as well mentally, along with a previous experience of outdoors. On the one side the trips are carried out in some of the most amazing and extraordinary locations and in very special times such as winter and at the same time they do provide a bit of challenge to our endurance, fitness and our ability to cope with some adverse conditions. Though we will provide the best equipment and manpower, and do our best to leave no stone unturned. But still before taking up this trip we want to make very clear that nothing is certain in trips like this. Such as bad weather and cold and other logistical uncertainties such as power cut and water supply cut etc. Though we will try to do our best to provide water by buckets and lights by solar batteries etc. but still before signing up one should be experienced enough to carry himself or herself in outdoor conditions and be well aware of these uncertainties and hence cooperate if any such situation arises due to the reasons beyond human control.

COST INCLUDES: - Bus stand Transfers. Accommodation in Manali on DBL and Triple sharing (with meals - fixed menu) room heater will be based on the availability of power though we will provide the fire wood in the sitting room in evenings, Transportation during the trip, all the equipment and clothing for activities, accommodation in Guest House with all meals. Sleeping bags, heavy foam mattresses and camping pillows, Services of the qualified mountain guide and assistant Guide for the group more than 3, solar lights and fire in the dining and socializing room, common toilet facility, Bucket water for washing etc.

Emergency backup: Adequate Medical kit, oxygen containers, 4x4 jeep back up.

Essentials:

  • Wear comfortable full cotton/thermal casual to track/cargo pants.
  • Wear good waterproof trekking shoes.
  • Warm and waterproof jacket is a must.
  • All the patrons will have to carry their bags so kindly bring rucksacks and not trolleys.

Don't forget to carry your backpack with:

  • Sun hat or cap
  • Sunglasses.(UV protective)
  • Sun screen lotion(SPF30+)
  • Cold Cream.
  • Head lamp or Torch (With Extra Batteries)
  • Chocolates and dry fruits as pocket snacks.
  • Water bottle with water (minimum3ltrperperson,perday)
  • Toilet Paper & kit.
  • Personal Photo Identity(Compulsory)
  • Personal Medication(if any)
  • Note book & Pen
  • Camera with sufficient batteries and film/memory cards(optional)
  • Binoculars (optional)

Basic points to keep in mind for an enjoyable excursion

  • You have to carry your rucksack and please get your stuff accordingly. And we will also issue some common training equipment that you have to carry as well. No porter back up will be available.
  • Nature is fun to explore but not a toy to exploit. Respect its harmony and maintain the balance needed to retain its beauty and treasures. Please abide the specific guidelines we share with you on the trip.
  • This trip is not a regular excursion with family and friends. It is a serious adventure as it unlocks the wonderful world of nature and brings its magic alive. Do choose the trip if you can handle the adverse situation with a smile. You also have to be mentally as well as physically fit.
  • Like all outdoor trips, this one requires basic fitness. Also, you will be responsible for taking care of your personal belongings.
  • Your experience of the trip depends on a lot of factors like the climatic conditions, your health conditions and the overall physical terrain.

Disclosures on medical conditions

  • It is mandatory that you visit your personal physician before enrolling for the trip if you suffer from any illness of any kind. Please disclose any medical condition/history to the organizers of the Programme so that the best possible arrangements can be carried out post approval.
  • As organizers of the Camp, we will be responsible for providing basic first aid throughout the trip. In case of unexpected mishaps or accidents, we will arrange for the injured patron to be taken to the nearest medical hospital wherever possible. The medical expenses will have to be borne by the patrons themselves.

  • Eligibility for this Outdoor trip is 18-30 years,
  • We will try out best to follow the itinerary of the trip shared with you but bear in mind those factors out of our control that may change the schedule.

Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.
